HEC Opens Registration for USAT 2025

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced the commencement of registration for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2025 — a mandatory entry test for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs in universities across the country.

According to HEC, the last date to register is September 9, 2025, while the test will be held on September 28, 2025. Applicants are required to submit their forms online through the official portal at etc.hec.gov.pk.

The USAT is designed to evaluate a student’s preparedness and suitability for higher studies. It serves as a standardized admission criterion for several universities, particularly those following HEC’s guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

HEC has stated that candidates who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply:

• Students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent (Grade 12).
• Students who have appeared in final exams and are awaiting their results.
• This provides both recent graduates and students awaiting results an opportunity to secure eligibility for the upcoming academic session.
• To facilitate applicants, HEC has also introduced an online help desk at onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk for assistance with the registration process.

The USAT initiative reflects HEC’s broader vision to improve transparency, quality, and accessibility in higher education, while ensuring a merit-based system that provides equal opportunities to students nationwide.
