Pakistan Railways has decided to launch a new train service between Islamabad and Rawalpindi to make travel easier for daily passengers.
The decision came during a meeting at Railways Headquarters in Lahore chaired by Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also attended the session.
Officials briefed the ministers about the overall security of railway operations, especially in Balochistan. Steps being taken to protect railway tracks and trains were discussed.
The meeting also approved a joint campaign against encroachments on railway land. For this purpose, the National Constabulary and Railways Police will work together, while the Interior Minister assured that Frontier Constabulary will provide full support.
Mohsin Naqvi said that security of railway lines and passenger safety is the top priority of the government. He said no compromise will be made on these matters. He appreciated recent measures by Pakistan Railways to improve services.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi thanked the Interior Minister for his cooperation, especially for helping with the anti-encroachment drive. The meeting was attended by Pakistan Railways CEO Amir Ali Baloch, IG Railways Police Rai Tahir and senior officials.

Ensure full security trains and track otherwise no travelling possible, system has been made a joke,everyday accidents and terrorism is no more acceptable, it’s good ministers and ministry have become serious now.
It’s services is too bad for passengers mostly in economics class but the business class is better than and it’s price of tickets is higher if you don’t mind it’s really important comments for all of other suggestions to thanks

I have recently travelled from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan. It was a very pleasant experience. I travelled in business class. I was provided with very nice fresh food, clean and packed sheets and pillow. The staff was nice and polite. The train was driven smoothly and was on time. I have sweet memories for this travel. I wish more achievements for Pakistan Railway. I love my country and its people. Many prayers for all who have made my travel successful.
It will be a good project I.A if done with sincerity instead for personal gains. I would suggest that a network of trams may be established in Capital City to reduce the traffic burden and save the beautiful environment of Islamabad.
