Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport were halted for 12 hours on Tuesday after heavy flooding inundated parts of the city and its surrounding areas.
A NOTAM issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the airport would remain closed from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., leaving many passengers stranded and forcing last-minute changes to travel schedules.
Airport officials stated that normal operations will only resume once floodwater is fully cleared from the premises and the runway is declared safe for aircraft movement.
