NUTECH Introduces New MS and PhD Programs

The National University of Technology (NUTECH) has officially launched a series of new postgraduate programmes, including MS degrees in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, alongside a groundbreaking European Union-funded MS in Climate Change and Environmental Informatics (CCEI).

According to a press release, the CCEI programme is designed to address pressing environmental challenges through data-driven approaches and innovative solutions.

In addition, NUTECH has also unveiled PhD programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science, marking a significant step in expanding advanced research opportunities in Pakistan.

Launch Ceremony

The inauguration ceremony took place at NUTECH and was attended by several high-profile diplomats, including:

  • Philipp Oliver Gross, Chargé d’Affaires, European Union to Pakistan
  • Dr. Dan Stoenescu, Ambassador of Romania
  • Ina Lepel, German Ambassador
  • Mary O’Neil, Irish Envoy
  • Peter Emil Nielsen, Interim Chargé d’Affaires of Denmark
  • Tihomir Madzhev, First Secretary, Embassy of Bulgaria

During the event, the delegation was briefed on the Euramus Active Project, NUTECH’s academic model, and the university’s national contributions in applied technological education.

International Endorsements

Speaking on the occasion, Philipp Oliver Gross noted that the newly introduced MS in Climate Change and Environmental Informatics would enable students to respond effectively to global climate challenges with innovation and expertise.

Ambassadors Dr. Dan Stoenescu and Ina Lepel praised NUTECH’s leadership in launching advanced academic programmes and highlighted that the strong response to MS admissions reflects growing demand for specialised, industry-relevant education. They added that these initiatives will encourage practical innovation, strengthen academic-industry linkages, and contribute to sustainable solutions.

  • This institution has a substantially low level of academics they just practise students to memorise (ratta) lesson whereas actually every institution is entitled to teach the lesson. They don’t have innovations. Very pathetic teaching faculty the teacher himself doesn’t know what they are teaching.
