Punjab Postpones Matric Exams Due to Floods

Due to the recent floods across Punjab, major academic examinations have been postponed.

The Lahore Board, along with other educational boards, announced today that the supplementary matriculation exams have been delayed. These exams, which were originally scheduled to begin on September 10, will now start on September 29.

Officials explained that, given the severe flooding and continuous rainfall in several regions of Punjab, the decision was made to push the exams forward by nearly three weeks. A revised date sheet will be released in the coming days.

All educational boards across Lahore and Punjab have postponed their exams. Authorities confirmed that this step was taken to ensure students’ safety amid the challenging situation.

Before this announcement, students preparing for the supplementary exams were waiting for their date sheets and roll number slips. However, due to uncertainty caused by the floods, boards had temporarily stopped issuing them. With the new schedule now confirmed, that uncertainty has ended, and students will soon receive their roll number slips.

According to board officials, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen will finalize the new date sheet, after which roll number slips will be distributed accordingly.
