KP Imposes Complete Ban on Teacher Transfers

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has enforced a blanket ban on all teacher transfers and postings, effective September 10.

Officials stated that the move was necessary as schools have resumed academic activities following summer vacations, and any reshuffling of staff at this stage could disrupt classroom learning.

Teachers from all cadres have been instructed not to submit transfer applications to the Education Minister’s office or the Secretariat during the ban period. The department has cautioned that strict disciplinary measures will be taken against violators.

District education offices have been directed to ensure full implementation of the ban. Under the policy, transfers will only be permitted once a year during vacations and exclusively through the e-transfer system.

The Education Minister called on teachers to dedicate their efforts toward students’ education, stressing that uninterrupted academic activity must remain the foremost priority after schools’ reopening.
