The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed six large-scale development projects over the past year, with an estimated cost of Rs. 23 billion.
The projects include the Jinnah Square Interchange at Serena Chowk and Jinnah Convention Chowk, completed as part of the initial phase. A second phase saw the Jinnah Square Murree Road Interchange finalized in just over a month.
Another major project, the Tayyip Erdogan Interchange at F-8 Chowk on Jinnah Avenue, has also been completed. In addition, work was carried out on the Expressway, including sections from PWD Underpass to GT Road and from Korang to the PWD Interchange.
Park Road from Tramari Chowk to Rawat Chowk was widened and rehabilitated, while the Convention Centre underwent renovation. Parking plazas in commercial areas have also been constructed.
On Tuesday, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the T-Chowk Flyover project site, where he was briefed that 12 piles had already been completed. Officials said utility services affected by the construction are being relocated to allow faster progress on the project.
