Ministry Issues List of Verified Umrah Companies in Pakistan

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has released an updated list of 113 authorized Umrah operators for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri, aimed at protecting pilgrims from fraud and malpractice.

According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, the verified list has been uploaded to the ministry’s official website, where prospective pilgrims can confirm the authenticity of any company before booking. You can check the list here.

The spokesperson emphasized that all payments must be routed through banks directly into the account of the registered Umrah company. Pilgrims have been advised to secure a payment receipt along with a copy of the agreement to avoid disputes.

He also urged travelers to make bookings only through approved operators that provide complete Umrah packages, including visa, airfare, accommodation, and transport services.

Officials said the measure is part of wider efforts to ensure transparency and safeguard pilgrims from unlicensed agents offering incomplete or fraudulent services.
