Pakistan Navy Opens New Dental College and Hospital in Karachi

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, inaugurated the new Dental College and Hospital at the Bahria University Health Sciences Campus (BUHSC) in Karachi.

The Dental College and Hospital have been constructed to serve both academic and clinical purposes. Equipped with modern laboratories, lecture halls, and treatment units, the institution will provide education and training to dental students while also offering oral healthcare services to the public.

University officials stated that the hospital will operate with a dual focus: training future dental surgeons in line with international standards and providing affordable dental care to the community.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended Bahria University for establishing a facility with advanced academic and healthcare resources. He highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s continued commitment to supporting education and noted that the new institution would contribute to addressing the shortage of qualified dental professionals in Pakistan.

“The Dental College and Hospital at Bahria University have the potential to produce competent specialists who can play a meaningful role in the country’s healthcare system,” he said.

Bahria University Health Sciences Campus, established in Karachi in 2013, already houses a medical and dental college, nursing school, and various allied health sciences programs.

The inauguration was attended by senior officials from the Pakistan Navy, representatives of Bahria University, and leading experts from the fields of medical, dental, and allied health sciences.
