The 2025 Punjab Boards Intermediate Part II results, announced on September 18, have once again highlighted the growing dominance of private colleges and the consistent academic success of female students across the province.
Out of 335 top positions awarded by the nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs)—including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Dera Ghazi Khan—private institutions secured 283 positions, accounting for 84% of the total. In contrast, government and semi-government institutions managed just 52 positions, or 16%.
Punjab Group of Colleges emerged as the top-performing institution, claiming 143 of these top spots. This figure represents 51% of all positions held by private colleges, reaffirming Punjab Colleges’ reputation for academic excellence in intermediate education across Punjab.
The board-wise breakdown reflects a widespread achievement across regions. Notably, the Federal Board posted the highest pass percentage at 81.10%, followed by Dera Ghazi Khan at 74.86%, and Faisalabad at 73.71%. Other boards reported solid performances as well, with Multan at 63.54%, Bahawalpur at 63.53%, Gujranwala at 63.10%, Sargodha at 68.83%, Lahore at 60.86%, Sahiwal at 58.88%, and Rawalpindi at 54.12%.
Female students once again outperformed male students in every academic stream, in both regular and private categories, marking another year of strong academic results for young women across the province.
This continued success of female students underscores the importance of investing in girls’ education as a pathway to broader social progress. It reflects the growing awareness among families and institutions that educating young women not only empowers them individually but also contributes significantly to the development and prosperity of communities. The rising academic achievements of female students across Punjab serve as a powerful testament to the role of education in advancing gender equality and empowering the next generation of women leaders.
Punjab Group of Colleges attributed its success to the dedication of its students, faculty, and staff, and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high academic standards. This year’s results further strengthen the institution’s standing as a leading force in education at both the provincial and national levels.

The govt has gutted education for the people and left these private to do what they want. They don’t even pay their taxes
