Rs. 25 Million Worth of Drugs Seized at Lahore Airport

The Airport Security Force (ASF) has seized a large quantity of narcotics worth over Rs. 25 million from a passenger at Lahore Airport who was attempting to travel to Bahrain.

According to ASF officials, the accused passenger had carefully concealed 1.6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ice) inside the lining of his hand-carry bag. The concealment was designed to avoid detection during routine checks, but vigilant ASF personnel identified suspicious indicators and subjected the bag to a thorough inspection.

During the search, the narcotics were recovered, immediately foiling what could have been a significant smuggling operation. Authorities stated that the drugs were of high purity and were likely destined for sale in international markets, where their value would increase many times over.

Following the recovery, the suspect was taken into custody at the airport. Both the passenger and the seized contraband were later handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), which has launched a detailed investigation. Officials said the inquiry would focus on determining whether the individual was part of a wider trafficking network operating between Pakistan and the Gulf states.
