You Can Now Apply for Islamabad’s Learners Driving Permit Online

Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced a new Online E-Learners Permit system, allowing citizens to obtain their learner’s driving permit from home.

According to officials, the initiative is aimed at providing greater convenience and eliminating the need for citizens to visit traffic offices for basic licensing procedures. Applicants can now apply through the official portal at dlims.islamabadpolice.gov.pk.

Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun said the service reflects the police’s continued efforts to modernize public services and make licensing more accessible.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi recently extended the deadline for obtaining valid driving licenses. Citizens now have until October 7, 2025, to secure their licenses.

From October 8, strict enforcement will begin, with drivers found on the road without a valid license facing legal action, including arrest and vehicle impoundment.

Authorities clarified that the extension was granted to give citizens more time and facilities to complete the process. Special service desks have been set up across the city to accommodate the surge in applicants.
