Rain Predicted in Most Parts of Sindh

According to the Met Office, a well-marked low-pressure weather system lies over Gujarat (India). This weather system is likely to move west-northwestward. Moist currents from the northeastern Arabian Sea are penetrating the southeastern parts of Sindh. A fresh westerly wave is likely to approach the upper parts of the country on October 3.

Under the influence of these meteorological conditions, rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected in Tharparkar (Mithi, Islamkot, Nagarparkar, Chachro, Dhali, Diplo, Kaloi), Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Khairpur, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal from September 29 (night) to October 2, with occasional gaps.

Isolated moderate to heavy falls are also likely in Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Mirpurkhas during the forecast period.

Windstorms and lightning may damage weak structures such as the roofs or walls of Kacha houses, electric poles, billboards, vehicles, and solar panels during the forecast period.

The public, travelers, and tourists are advised to avoid unusual exposure to vulnerable areas and to stay updated about the latest weather conditions.
