Gold Prices Dip in Pakistan After Hitting All-Time High

Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Thursday, reflecting declines seen in the global market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 2,500 during the day, settling at Rs. 407,778.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold declined by Rs. 2,144, with the new rate standing at Rs. 349,603.

Earlier this week, on Wednesday, gold prices had surged, with the per tola rate reaching Rs. 410,278 after a single-day increase of Rs. 3,500.

Internationally, gold prices also saw a dip. The global rate was recorded at $3,865 per ounce(including a $20 premium), reflecting a decrease of $ 25, as reported by APGJSA.

However, silver prices in the local market edged higher. The price per tola of silver rose by Rs. 13 to reach Rs. 4,839.
