Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday inaugurated a trampoline park at Safari Park, which the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) described as Pakistan’s largest and most modern facility of its kind.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Wahab said that Safari Park had long suffered from neglect and a lack of recreational facilities but was now seeing a revival.
“The positive outcomes of KMC’s hard work over the past two years are now visible,” he said. “Today, hundreds of families visit Safari Park on weekends, which reflects the citizens’ trust in our dedication and planning.”
The mayor said the initiative is part of broader efforts to promote sports and recreational activities across Karachi. “There are two other trampoline parks in the city, but the facilities at Safari Park meet the highest standards and are available to the public at affordable rates,” he added.
Wahab noted that the KMC administration was focused on creating healthy entertainment spaces, particularly for children and youth. “We want Karachi’s residents to have access to safe and modern recreational venues,” he said.
