Pakistan’s Per Capita Income Rose to Rs. 42,000 Per Month

Pakistan’s per capita monthly income has climbed to Rs 42,000 (Rs 506,188 or $1,812 annually)  according to figures released after the 114th meeting of the National Accounts Committee (NAC).

The NAC report showed that the size of the economy has expanded to Rs 113.7 trillion ($407.2 billion), compared to Rs 105.2 trillion ($371.8 billion) last year.  The country’s GDP growth was recorded at 3.04%, slightly higher than earlier projections of 2.68%.

Officials said the upward revision reflects steady gains in industrial output, services, and agriculture, alongside improved macroeconomic stability.

The increase in per capita income also signals a gradual recovery in household earnings, aided by stabilization in inflation and better energy supply. Economists, however, cautioned that high population growth, still above 2% continues to limit real income gains for citizens despite the nominal improvement.

The government said it remains focused on sustaining growth through export diversification, fiscal reforms, and digital transformation, aiming to raise living standards and promote inclusive economic progress.

  • we are not fully out of the woods yet, This is merely stabilization; A slow but steady recovery from the pits that we had fallen in during dark immi era. What this govt needs to focus on is how can they get this benefit to the lowest strata of society. despite stabilizing macroeconomic picture, wealth disparity is alarmingly increasing. Govt’s next focus should be getting that number down.
And they’ll be able get closer in achieving their goals if they manage to keep one person behind bars in perpetuity; Aka Imm the dimmest.

  • 2 % is necessary for population growth. if less condition like Japan where population declined.
