Pakistani Climber Asad Ali Memon Completes Seven Summits Challenge

Pakistani mountaineer Asad Ali Memon has cemented his place in mountaineering history after successfully completing the Seven Summits Challenge by scaling Puncak Jaya in Indonesia.

The Seven Summits Challenge involves climbing the highest peaks on all seven continents. Asad achieved this milestone by conquering Puncak Jaya, the tallest mountain in Oceania, marking the final summit in his journey.

Asad’s record-breaking climb adds another proud moment for Pakistan’s mountaineering community. He becomes one of the few Pakistanis, and one of the youngest climbers in the world, to complete the legendary challenge.

The 27-year-old began his adventure in 2019, when he scaled Mount Elbrus in Europe. He then went on to summit Aconcagua in South America (2020), Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa (2021), and Denali in North America (2022).

In 2023, Asad conquered Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, and earlier this year climbed Mount Vinson in Antarctica. With his latest triumph on Puncak Jaya, the circle is now complete.

Aside from Asad Ali Memon, two other Pakistanis have previously achieved this feat: siblings Samina Baig and Mirza Ali Baig.

Asad’s journey is being celebrated across Pakistan, with fans and fellow climbers praising his perseverance, discipline, and determination. His accomplishment also highlights the growing presence of Pakistani athletes in international adventure sports.
