Officials stressed the importance of verifying any suspicious communication before responding, as scammers often pose as representatives of government institutions, banks, or law enforcement agencies to deceive people.
The police have urged the public to report such fake calls or messages immediately through the 15 helpline or at the nearest police station to help curb cyber and financial crimes in the capital.
