Traffic Plan Announced for Pakistan vs South Africa Test Match in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Traffic Police on Thursday announced a detailed traffic management plan for the upcoming Pakistan–South Africa Test match, scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.

City Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam said that over 367 traffic wardens and officers will be deployed around the stadium to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience throughout the event.

He said a special traffic diversion plan has been prepared to minimize congestion, with additional personnel stationed at key diversion points to assist motorists. Traffic from Islamabad will be redirected from Faizabad to the Islamabad Expressway, while vehicles from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will be diverted from 6th Road to Saidpur Road.

To facilitate spectators, parking arrangements have been made at Civil Aviation Ground, Shahbaz Sharif Park, and Government Graduate College Satellite Town, with shuttle services available to the stadium.

Information regarding traffic updates will be shared regularly through social media and local radio channels.
