Sindh High Court Announces Diwali Holidays

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday announced a two-day holiday for court employees from the Hindu community in observance of Diwali.

According to an official notification, October 20 and 21 have been declared public holidays specifically for Hindu employees working in all courts under SHC’s jurisdiction.

The directive will apply to all benches of the SHC, as well as district courts, federal and provincial tribunals, and special courts operating across the province.

The decision was made to allow Hindu staff members to celebrate the religious festival with ease, in line with the province’s policy of accommodating minority religious observances.
