Air Punjab’s Expected International Destinations and Ticket Prices Revealed

The working committee overseeing the establishment of Air Punjab has submitted its initial report to the provincial government, detailing the airline’s financial structure, operational plan, and launch timeline.

According to the report, the estimated project cost ranges between Rs. 12 billion and Rs. 15 billion, with a proposal to lease five state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft. Each aircraft will cost $375,000 per month, bringing the annual leasing expenditure to roughly Rs. 6.3 billion.

The committee also proposed pilot salaries between Rs. 1.5 million and Rs. 2.5 million per month, aimed at attracting skilled professionals from the aviation sector.

In its initial phase, Air Punjab plans to operate direct flights from Lahore to Dubai, Jeddah, and Karachi. The expected ticket fares are Rs. 15,000 for domestic routes, Rs. 40,000 for Dubai, and Rs. 50,000 for Jeddah.

The report stated that Air Punjab will operate under a public-private partnership model to ensure financial stability and efficient management. The initiative is expected to create thousands of jobs and promote private investment in the aviation industry.

  • There we go again. We aren’t going to learn how to do business. Playing with figures and making it attractive to decision makers is the game of beauracrats. Leave it to private sector please. Don’t waste of taxes

    • If it’s just 15 billion, doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Peanuts for Punjab government considering their total budget is over 5 trillion. Will offer passengers an alternate option. And government can privatize it later.

  • It is quite astonishing that the airline, which is yet in the offing, is publishing its international destinations and fares. This is nothing but a ‘Wild Goose Chase’. A provincial state organ never indulges in commercial aviation business, which is exclusive for the Federal Government. The advisors and beurocracy of the Government of the Punjab has perhaps got mad!

  • Congratulations it’s a good step and fairs are reasonable as mentioned it’s with all taxes or without tax please mention.
    Any good step taken

  • Overall its good and best decisions. All over the world , every organisation paid taxes. For people thinking negative please Think positive. Negative people can’t grow. Lets grow together.

  • hahaha airline must fly two years domestic before starting or requesting for international flights.. but patwaris doesn't know i think 😂😂😂😂 says:

  • We never take lesson from histroy. We are desperately trying to sell PIA after continuos loss. Who is this foolish beurocrat who prepared this proposal and the government accepted it. After some years we will be weaping on loss and desperate to sell it. Still we can think on the viability of this project which is ultimately going in loss as all other projects.

  • It is possible to re-establish PIA, once a leading name in aviation industry. No one wants this, Why?

    • Why 70’s of PIA was still remember as world class airline because most of its employees are from punjab PIA should be private as soon as possible but 100% with no political interference

  • These are purposed fares. These fares will be doubled or more due to actual operational costs and inflation.

  • Hope for best, like air blue in private sector. If the mention fare will be offered than not bad for passenger. Will it be like PIA of 70’s can be expected. Air Karachi is also on the wat to launch. Competition will improve standard with low fares.

  • When PIA failed after almost 80 years of operations in Government control, whey another similar mistake?
