A large mall on Bedian Road, Lahore, has been sealed due to the excessive prices of vegetables.
During the inspection, tomatoes were found to be priced at Rs. 485 per kilogram, while capsicum was being sold for Rs. 510 per kilogram.
Additionally, other vegetables were also found to be overpriced. These inflated prices were well above the standard market rates.
This action was taken under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Authorities have stated that the operation is part of the government’s efforts to address inflation in essential commodities and prevent price manipulation in local markets.
