Specific Flight Routes Partially Closed for 2 Days

Pakistan has announced temporary restrictions on specific flight paths within the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions (FIRs) due to operational requirements, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The notice stated that certain air routes will remain unavailable from 12:00 p.m. on October 28 to 3:00 p.m. on October 29 (Pakistan Standard Time). The decision has been taken as part of routine airspace management measures to ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic.

Aviation authorities confirmed that these restrictions are temporary and will not affect regular airport operations. No airport closures or major disruptions to commercial flights are expected during the period.

However, the PAA advised airlines and aviation companies that some flights may be re-routed to accommodate the operational adjustments. Such steps are standard practice in global aviation to maintain safety standards and smooth traffic coordination within controlled airspace.
