Mohammad Rizwan Reveals His Excitement to Play in Big Bash League

As the 15th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) draws closer, excitement is reaching fever pitch — not just among fans and teams, but players as well. Mohammad Rizwan is looking forward to being part of that buzz soon.

In a video message, Mohammad Rizwan described his upcoming stint in the BBL as a “challenge” — one he’s eager to embrace both as a cricketer and as a competitor.

“Look, in my career I’ve always loved challenges. I’ve seen the way Australians play cricket — they’re all challenging guys. I love the way they play. The cricket in Big Bash is not easy,” he said.

He went on to express hope that his stint with the Melbourne Renegades may be the start of something special.

While Mohammad Rizwan has played plenty of cricket on Australian surfaces with Pakistan, the upcoming BBL will mark the first time he dons a franchise jersey in Australia. He boasts a modest record in T20Is in Australia by his standards — 236 runs at an average of 19.66 in 12 innings — but without the pressures of the international arena, he has the pedigree to make an impact in his debut BBL campaign.

As Mohammad Rizwan prepares for the high-intensity BBL season, his determination and hunger for excellence once again underline why he’s considered one of Pakistan’s most reliable and hardworking players.
