OnePlus 15 Debuts Worldwide Next Week – Here’s What to Expect

OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 15 globally on November 13, following its initial release in China last month. Ahead of the international debut, the company has shared new details about the device’s hardware and features.

Display and Software

The global model will feature the same specifications as the Chinese version, including a 1.5K resolution LTPO OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. This combination, according to OnePlus, is an industry first. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and can dim down to just 1 nit. TÜV Rheinland has certified the panel for eye protection, and the phone includes features such as Eye Comfort Reminder and Eye Comfort Mode for gaming, which adjusts color settings to help reduce eye strain.

The device will ship with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, providing strong protection against dust and water.

Gaming and Cooling System

OnePlus claims that the phone will support 165 frames per second in games like Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans. For other titles, users can expect an always-on 120 frames per second experience without frame drops.

To address heat management, the device includes a 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System with a large 3D vapor chamber, aerospace-grade aerogel insulation, and a white graphite back cover, which together work to keep the phone cool during extended gaming sessions.

Performance and Connectivity

The handset uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, supported by a dedicated chip for touch response, offering a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate. A standalone Wi-Fi chip helps maintain strong and stable connectivity, even in busy network environments.

Battery and Charging

The OnePlus 15 includes the same 7,300 mAh Silicon NanoStack battery as the Chinese model. With 15% silicon content, the battery supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. OnePlus states the battery should retain at least 80% of its capacity after four years and remain reliable at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
