The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to redevelop and replan vacant and unutilized land pockets located in Islamabad’s prime residential sectors F-6 and F-7.
According to a public notice issued by the CDA, several small parcels of land in these sectors remain undesignated and unplanned.
The authority now aims to optimize its use through modern urban planning, improving access, aesthetics, and land management in some of the city’s most valuable real estate.
Officials said the initiative is part of CDA’s broader strategy to revive underused land and ensure efficient utilization of every available plot in central Islamabad.
They noted that redevelopment will not only improve the city’s layout but also create opportunities for better land governance and sustainable expansion in the future.
The replanning will be carried out under the “Regulations of Amendment in Layout Plans, 2019,” which require the CDA to engage the public before finalizing any modification or new plan.
In line with this rule, the authority has invited residents, stakeholders, and members of the public to submit their comments or objections on the proposed redevelopment.
Written feedback can be sent to the Director Urban Planning-I, CDA, within ten days of the notice’s publication, along with an attested copy of the respondent’s CNIC.
CDA officials emphasized that the exercise aims to make better use of vacant land while ensuring transparency and community participation.
They said the plan will help improve connectivity, urban design, and land utilization in the heart of Islamabad.

Opening doors to corruption as before
Want to grant prize plots to Near and Dears
Don’t destroy anymore green areasbin F6 anf F7. These areas are the trademark of Islamabad living. All that Islamabad needs is improvement in the layout of the Markaz in each sector.
Disgraceful, these green patches were left for a reason in these original sectors of Islamabad. Some were graveyards of the original villages that Islamabad replaced and some were too small a piece of land left at the end of streets next to natural rain waterways because the size of land left was smaller than the plot sizes being designated in that street.
This is nothing more than China cutting being planned to give these pieces of land to those with influence or money.
So Islamabad will be all concrete, no green belt.
Isb will be like Karachi. Beauty of tresss, green belt will be history
What land?
Green patches, Nala edge, or slums/Christian colonies?
Definitely seems like fraud/Lahore style theekay Darian instead of leaving something natural
Islamabad’s beauty was due to its planned greenery and green open spaces. As the price of land increases, the CDA’s greed increases. CDA has almost ruined Islamabad’s beauty due to its ill planning, the latest one is the F 10 turning, spoiling Jinnah Avenue with poorly designed protected U turn in front of Fatima Jinnah Park. CDA is at liberty to construct road off shoots in greenbelts, ruin greenbelts by using those as parking spaces and now trying to destroy open, green character of F 6 and F 7.
Use it to set up plant nurseries and fadt growing fotests.
This is to ruin the sector infrastructure. I am living in Islamabad since 1979. The sectors are well planned developed. I am sure the residents of F6,F7 must oppose such plan if the CDA creates plots. If CDA develop as play ground flower park and open gym then everyone will appreciate.
