Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has launched the landmark Insaf Female Education Card, a major initiative aimed at empowering women and supporting orphan students through free higher education.
The launch ceremony took place at Frontier Women College, where the Chief Minister unveiled a comprehensive plan to expand educational opportunities across the province.
During his address, CM Sohail Afridi announced that 55,000 female students will benefit from free higher education under the Insaf Female Education Card program, which will be rolled out in phases.
The initiative aims to make higher education accessible to girls from all backgrounds and strengthen women’s participation in the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a significant announcement, the Chief Minister also declared that orphan students who pass the MDCAT test will receive free higher education, ensuring that no deserving student is left behind due to financial hardship.
“Empowering women through higher education is our top priority,” said Chief Minister Afridi. “Educated women are the foundation of a prosperous and enlightened society.”
Afridi described the Insaf Female Education Card as a symbol of gender equality, hope, and dignity for women across the province.
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities for women in every sector, emphasizing that education remains the cornerstone of sustainable progress.
The Chief Minister highlighted that his government has taken transparent and result-oriented steps in the education sector and pledged to increase budget allocations for women’s education in the upcoming fiscal year.
He stressed that these reforms would make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a model province in promoting higher education for women.
To strengthen the connection between academic learning and employment, CM Afridi also directed relevant authorities to launch an internship program for students holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
The initiative aims to help graduates gain practical experience and transition smoothly into the professional workforce.
With the introduction of the Insaf Female Education Card, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken another decisive step toward women’s empowerment, educational equality, and social uplift, setting a strong example for other provinces to follow.
