He shared that the players’ hostel was completed at a cost of Rs. 181 million and includes 80 beds along with advanced residential and training facilities for athletes. The construction of the swimming pool cost Rs. 217 million and features a modern water filtration system, heating, and timing technology designed to meet international competition standards.
Highlighting the Punjab government’s vision, Khokhar said the initiative reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s commitment to improving sports infrastructure and promoting athletic excellence across the province.
He added that the renovation of the Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex is another example of the government’s efforts to revive and modernize sports facilities in Punjab.
