The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has clarified that the official price of the T-Cash Card remains Rs. 130, rejecting reports suggesting an increase.
In a statement, the PMA explained that no additional charges have been imposed either by the authority or by the Transport Department. The breakdown of costs associated with the T-Cash Card includes Rs. 130 for the card itself, Rs. 130 for TCS home delivery service, and Rs. 15 as online platform service charges.
According to the clarification, the TCS delivery option has been introduced to ensure convenience for passengers, allowing them to receive their cards at home. The authority added that card delivery at stations has been discontinued due to system expansion across multiple cities and the expected increase in passenger volume.
The PMA also noted that the T-Cash Card can now be used on EV buses operating in several cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Jhelum, Sahiwal, and Gujjar Khan, among others.
The authority emphasized that the card’s base price remains unchanged at Rs. 130 and that the total amount reflects service charges from delivery and online processing, not a price hike by the government.
