PCB Grants NOCs to Dozens of Players for Foreign Leagues

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has moved past the recent debate over No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) by officially clearing several cricketers to participate in multiple international T20 leagues. The approvals cover the Abu Dhabi T10 League, the ILT20 in Dubai, and Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL).

A number of Pakistani players are already active in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, with their NOCs valid until November 25. Among those confirmed for the fast-paced format are Iftikhar Ahmed, Khawaja Nafay, Asif Ali, and Salman Irshad. They are joined by Mohammad Amir, Arafat Minhas, Irfan Khan, Azam Khan, and a strong group of pace bowlers including Shahnawaz Dahani, Abbas Afridi, Akif Javed, Mir Hamza, Ubaid Shah, and Zaman Khan.

Looking ahead to the ILT20 season in Dubai, the PCB has approved Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, and emerging talent Hasan Nawaz to play from December 2 to January 4. Their inclusion adds a distinct Pakistani presence to the competition, with particular anticipation surrounding Hasan Nawaz’s debut in an overseas league.

Earlier, the PCB had also granted NOCs to marquee names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali for the fifteenth edition of the Big Bash League.

This broad issuance of NOCs marks the end of a brief period when permissions were revoked in response to team performance concerns. The board continues to balance overseas opportunities with national priorities, allowing players limited stints abroad while monitoring workloads. With a demanding international calendar ahead, the management of players remains a central consideration.

For supporters, the coming months promise excitement as Pakistani stars showcase their skills across global stages. The journey will culminate in Pakistani players’ much-anticipated appearance in Australia’s premier cricket competition, a moment that carries both prestige and expectation.
