The Academic Council of the University of Karachi has approved the revised PharmD curriculum submitted by the Faculty of Pharmacy’s Board of Studies. The decision came during a meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi at the Chinese Teachers’ Memorial Auditorium on Monday.
Members also endorsed the minutes of the previous Academic Council meeting held on September 11, 2025. In addition, the council approved the proceedings of the Faculty of Education’s Board of Studies meeting held on September 15, 2025.
The council nominated three representatives to the Board of the Faculty of Law for a three year term: Professor Dr. Samina Saeed, Professor Dr. Anila Ambar Malik, and Professor Dr. Naima Saeed.
Separately, acting on a request from the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, the council approved the regularization and verification facility for the MPhil and PhD programs offered by the Department of Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
The Academic Council also approved the minutes of the Advanced Studies and Research Board meeting from August 26, 2025, along with the proceedings of the Faculty of Science’s Board of Studies meeting held on October 15, 2025.
