Poco has officially introduced the F8 series, featuring the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. The lineup delivers major performance gains, new display technology, improved cameras, and large batteries. Given that nearly every previous Poco F-series model has launched in Pakistan, the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra are also expected to reach the Pakistani market soon enough.
Design and Display
The Poco F8 Pro uses a smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED LTPS display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also adopts a metal frame and a matte glass rear panel. Just like the Ultra, it is IP68-rated and features an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
The Poco F8 Ultra arrives with a large 6.9-inch AMOLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution, slim bezels, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The device features a metal frame, IP68 protection, and comes in Denim Blue and Black.
Internals and Software
Performance takes a major leap forward. The Poco F8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Poco F8 Ultra uses the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. These chipsets position both phones firmly in the flagship category.
Memory configurations are expected to reach up to 16GB of RAM, paired with generous internal storage options, making the series suitable for heavy multitasking, high-end gaming, and long-term use. The newly optimized Bose-tuned sound system strengthens overall multimedia performance.
Cameras
Poco has equipped the F8 Pro with a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor supported by additional lenses for zoom and ultra-wide shots. The Poco F8 Ultra pushes the system further with a triple 50MP arrangement that includes an advanced periscope telephoto lens offering up to 5x optical zoom, alongside a high-resolution ultra-wide camera.
Both devices include strong selfie hardware suitable for clear photos and stable video calls, though full front-camera details may vary by market.
Battery and Pricing
Battery life has also been upgraded. The Poco F8 Pro uses a 6,210mAh battery, while the Poco F8 Ultra comes with a larger 6,500mAh unit. Both support fast charging technology, maintaining Poco’s tradition of quick top-ups with sizable battery capacities.
The Poco F8 Ultra has a starting price of $729 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the 16GB/512GB variant costs $799. As for the Pro model, the price tag is $579 for the 12GB/256GB memory class, and the highest-end variant at 12GB/512GB costs $629.
