On the directions of Director General Food Authority, Asim Javed, food safety teams continued their crackdown on fish points across the province.
According to the spokesperson, 54 fish points were inspected. Of these, 12 were fined a total of Rs290,000, while 25 were issued improvement notices.
During the operation, officials discarded more than 100 litres of substandard oil and around one maund of stale fish. One fish point was sealed after it was found frying food in repeatedly used oil.
DG Asim Javed said actions were taken due to poor sanitation, the absence of mandatory records, and mixing fresh oil with used oil for frying. He added that reusing cooking oil is a serious offence and can lead to dangerous diseases among the public.

There is ample need that name (Shop/Hotel ) trade name of the fined shops and sealed shop must be highlighted in the news.
After coming in the news the shopkeeps will become good responsible for their future. When the shops credibility will be effected they will become more responsible.
And still spineless for authority completely incapable of reducing prices and enforcing price policy 😆 🤣 😂 😹
