Several months of rumors have led to the official confirmation of Honor’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Magic8 Ultra, expected to launch in early 2026. The device, which has appeared on China’s 3C certification database with the model number BKQ-AN20, will pack a series of high-end features, including 120W wired fast charging, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 chipset, and an impressive camera setup.
The Magic8 Ultra is set to take the lead in Honor’s lineup with upgraded specifications over its predecessor, the Magic8 Pro. One of the standout features will be its enhanced zoom cameras, expected to outperform the Magic8 Pro’s already impressive capabilities.
Additionally, the Ultra model will come with a significantly larger battery, surpassing the 7,200mAh cell in the Magic8 Pro, although exact battery capacity details remain unspecified.
Furthermore, the phone will support 120W wired fast charging, a major upgrade in charging speed, ensuring faster power-ups compared to previous models in the series.
Under the hood, the Magic8 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 chipset, providing top-tier performance and handling for gaming, multitasking, and AI applications. The device will also include satellite connectivity, a feature becoming increasingly important for advanced smartphones, especially in emergencies.
In the camera department, the Magic8 Ultra will be equipped with an OV50R LOFIC main camera, a significant sensor expected to provide sharp, high-quality images. This camera setup will put the Magic8 Ultra in direct competition with other flagship devices, including Xiaomi’s 17 Ultra, which is expected to debut around the same time.
