Punjab to Upgrade 6,284 Streets Across Lahore

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formally launched the second phase of the Lahore Development Plan, marking a major push to upgrade thousands of streets across the provincial capital.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the new phase will upgrade 6,284 streets citywide. The Water and Sanitation Agency will improve 486 streets, while the Lahore Municipal Corporation will upgrade 5,798 streets by June next year.

Officials briefed the chief minister during a meeting held to review Phase II of the project. The CM Office said a month-by-month plan was presented to ensure steady progress in every neighborhood.

Maryam Nawaz directed all departments to maintain strict quality standards and complete the work without delays. She said the project aims to enhance the appearance and liveability of Lahore at every level.

The chief minister added that every part of the city will see visible improvements under this phase, ensuring residents benefit from cleaner, safer, and better-developed streets.
