Qatar Extends Visit Visas for GCC Residents

Qatar on Saturday announced major updates to its visa policy, extending visit visas for GCC residents from one month to two months and allowing them to obtain multiple-entry permits.

Qatar Tourism said the new rules will take effect on Sunday, November 30, through the Haya platform. Officials said the move aims to make it easier for GCC residents to attend Qatar’s growing number of sports, cultural, and entertainment events, particularly following the FIFA World Cup 2025.

The Haya system will also continue supporting the Arab Cup 2025 by simplifying travel procedures for visitors and fans from across the Gulf. The platform offers a unified digital process for submitting e-visa applications and managing event-entry requirements, enabling smoother trip planning.
