Nubia Flip 3 Launched As One of The Cheapest Foldables On The Market

Nubia has introduced the Flip 3 in Japan, launching the device alongside its first book-style foldable, the Nubia Fold. Although the phone is now official, sales will begin in mid-January 2026. The Flip3  arrives as a compact foldable with updated hardware, a dual-camera system, and a larger cover display.

Although the official price is yet to be revealed, it is expected to be a sub-$500 phone, as the Nubia Flip 2, its predecessor, was also a sub-$500 phone, at least outside of expensive markets such as Europe.

Design and Display

The nubia Flip3 features a 6.9-inch flexible inner display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, the phone includes a 4-inch AMOLED cover screen designed for quick interactions and notifications. When unfolded, the device is 7.5mm thick and weighs 187g. It carries an IP54 rating for limited dust and water resistance, and is available in Black and White color options.

Internals and Software

MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400X chipset powers the Flip3. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 15 out of the box. Additional features include Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Cameras

Nubia has equipped the Flip3 with a dual-rear camera system. The setup includes a 50MP main sensor along with a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the front, the foldable carries a 32MP selfie camera housed inside the inner display.

Battery and Pricing

The Flip3 is backed by a 4,610 mAh battery. Nubia has not yet announced pricing for the Japanese market, but full details are expected closer to the official sales launch in January 2026.
