After The CEO, This Major Apple Executive May Also Be Leaving The Company

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technologies, told CEO Tim Cook he is “seriously considering” leaving the company for another role.

Meanwhile, CEO Tim Cook is confronting speculation about his own future at Apple.

In October, Srouji was said to be “evaluating his future at the tech giant.” While no decision has been finalized, the latest report suggests he is leaning toward leaving the iPhone maker.

If Srouji steps down, he would join a growing list of senior executives departing Apple. COO Jeff Williams announced his retirement in July, triggering internal shifts. December brought even more changes: AI chief John Giannandrea stepped down, policy lead Lisa Jackson and general counsel Kate Adams announced retirement plans, and UI design head Alan Dye left for Meta.

The wave of departures comes as Apple works to strengthen its position in a tech landscape increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. The company has faced pressure to accelerate its AI efforts, and the leadership turnover adds to concerns about internal stability.

Gurman has stated these rumors are premature, but they contribute to wider uncertainty around a company known historically for its stability at the executive level.
