Schools have been ordered to use only one gate during regular days. Authorities have also directed institutions to conduct emergency mock exercises with Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence.

Administrations must ensure properly marked emergency exit routes for students.

Important contact numbers should be displayed in the principal’s office and staff rooms, and water reservoirs must be installed as part of emergency preparedness.

Additionally, schools are required to obtain security clearance from the Special Branch.

Officials said the new measures aim to strengthen campus safety and ensure a secure learning environment across Punjab.
