Admissions Open at Pakistan’s First Autism School

Under the vision of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, admissions have begun at the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism, the first government-run autism school in Pakistan.

The Special Education Department announced on Tuesday that parents can now apply for their children through an online registration portal.

The autism school has opened online admissions for children aged 3 to 16 years. It includes three sections: Early Childhood Education for ages 3 to 5, Junior Section for ages 6 to 12, and Senior Section for ages 13 to 16.

According to the department, the institution has been structured to meet the developmental needs of children across various age groups.

Officials noted that the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism has been established to provide structured learning, therapy support, and dedicated facilities for autistic children.

Parents can submit admission forms at the official website, and the last date for registration is December 10, 2025.

Authorities say the initiative marks a major milestone in expanding inclusive education and improving specialized services for children with autism across Pakistan.

  • AOA,
This is truly a remarkable achievement by the Punjab Government. I am the parent of an 11-year-old son with Down syndrome, and I have been searching for the right school to support his education and development. Seeing this initiative brings me great happiness and hope. It is a wonderful opportunity for special children, and a highly appreciable step for our community. May this project continue to grow and benefit many families.
