Concerns are emerging over the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) handling of the ongoing President’s Grade-I One-Day Cup 2025/26, with reports indicating that no professional photographer has been appointed for the tournament.
As a result, there will be no official photographs of players and performances during the 31-match List A event.
The lack of an official photographer raises questions about the PCB’s commitment to documenting domestic cricket and promoting young talent. Without professional images, players may miss opportunities for media exposure and recognition, both nationally and internationally.
The tournament, which began on 8 December across four venues in Karachi, features eight departmental teams competing in a single-league round-robin format, culminating with the semi-finals on 22-23 December and the final on 25 December.
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) are defending champions, while other participants include Ghani Glass, KRL, OGDCL, PTV, Sahir Associates, SNGPL, and WAPDA.
The PCB has arranged for all matches to be live-streamed on Tapmad in Pakistan and on the PCB YouTube channel for international viewers. League-stage matches are scheduled as day games, with tosses at 9:00 AM and the first ball at 9:30 AM.
Players in the tournament are competing not only for team glory but also for Rs. 5 million in prize money for the winners and Rs. 2.5 million for runners-up, along with individual awards for best batter, bowler, wicketkeeper, and player of the tournament.
