Passenger Pick-Up Lane at Karachi Airport Set to Reopen

The Pakistan Airports Authority has decided to reopen the passenger pickup lane at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after it remained closed for several years, Geo News reported.

According to airport sources quoted by Geo News, airport authorities began removing barriers from the passenger pickup lane on the instructions of the Director General of the Pakistan Airports Authority. The lane had remained inaccessible to passengers for years.

Sources said a former PAA director general had ordered the closure of the passenger pickup lane. The decision caused persistent difficulties for travelers, as vehicles were forced to queue for long periods inside the airport premises due to limited space for pickups.

The sources confirmed that authorities will reopen the passenger pickup lane for public use starting today. The move aims to ease traffic flow and reduce delays for arriving passengers.
