Pakistani Rowers Dominate at Thailand International Regatta

Pakistan’s rowers delivered an outstanding performance at the Thailand International Rowing and Indoor Rowing Regatta, held from December 20 to 22 in Pattaya.

The Karachi Boat Club represented Pakistan at the event, competing against more than 200 athletes from eight countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Korea, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the United States.

A nine-member Karachi Boat Club team, led by team coach Asghar Ali, competed in the regatta and produced a strong overall performance.

Pakistan finished the competition with an impressive medal haul of 14 gold, four silver, and two bronze medals, highlighting a successful outing at the international level.

Farid Muhammad Arif was named Best Male Athlete after winning six gold and two silver medals, while Inaaya Jahanaz Zaidi earned the Best Female Athlete title with five gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.

The achievement reflects the athletes’ dedication and preparation, showing that hard work and determination continue to bring success for Pakistan in international rowing.
