Pakistani All-Rounder Takes Match-Winning 5-fer in BPL

Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf dismantled the Chattogram Royals batting lineup in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2026 as Rangpur Riders scored a dominating victory over Chattogram Royals at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Playing for Rangpur Riders, Faheem Ashraf delivered a match-winning spell, claiming five wickets for just 17 runs in 3.5 overs.

His disciplined and aggressive bowling completely dominated the opposition and turned the match in Rangpur’s favor.

Opening the bowling alongside Nahid Rana, Ashraf went wicketless in his first over inside the powerplay. However, he made a decisive impact after the powerplay, first dismissing Mahfijul Islam before removing Masood Gurbaz and Chattogram Royals captain Mahedi Hasan in the space of just four deliveries.

Ashraf then cleaned up the lower order, taking the wickets of Abu Hider and Shoriful Islam in quick succession, restricting the Royals to 102 runs and setting up an easy 103-run target for Rangpur Riders.

In support, Nahid Rana, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Al Islam picked up one wicket each, while Mustafizur Rahman claimed two wickets in his three overs.

Rangpur Riders comfortably chased down the target, winning the match by seven wickets as they reached the total in just 15 overs. Faheem Ashraf was declared Man of the Match for his superb bowling spell.
