The Sindh Police has introduced a new digital facility for citizens to make traffic management and e-challan services more accessible.
IG Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, inaugurated the Traffic Helpline 1915 at the Central Police Office in Karachi and the SSP Traffic South Office at Artillery Maidan. The launch aims to provide citizens with easy access to traffic-related guidance and electronic challan (e-challan) information.
The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials, including the Additional IG Karachi, DIGs Traffic and Training, SSPs Traffic South, AVLC, PDIT, and other high-ranking officers.
During the briefing, DIG Traffic Karachi, Peer Muhammad Shah, explained that Traffic Helpline 1915 has been fully digitalized, allowing citizens to obtain e-challan information and other traffic services from the comfort of their homes.
Speaking at the event, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon emphasized that modern, well-equipped offices significantly enhance the performance of traffic police. He said the new e-challan service and support centers are playing an effective role in traffic management, providing citizens with quick guidance and resolution of complaints.
Memon highlighted that the Traffic Helpline 1915 strengthens communication between the public and traffic authorities. He directed that the helpline should operate 24 hours a day, noting that modernized help desks enhance public service delivery.
He added that traffic discipline, guidance, and citizen convenience remain top priorities for Sindh Police, and the new digital facilities are a step forward in achieving these goals.
