The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has decided to launch a crackdown against several national sports federations for alleged continuous violations of the national sports policy, reported by City42 News.
According to sources, the PSB has issued final notices to the three federations, Judo, Sailing, and Taekwondo, for repeatedly breaching national sports regulations.
The board has expressed serious concern over the failure of these federations to comply with the existing policy framework.
Sources within the PSB revealed that certain office-bearers in the three federations had already completed two consecutive terms, which directly violates the national sports policy.
Despite repeated warnings, the national sports federations allegedly failed to implement the required reforms.
The PSB has directed the concerned office-bearers to step down from their positions within seven days.
The board has warned that failure to comply with this directive will allow it to take strict action, including imposing sanctions, suspending activities, or imposing restrictions on the respective federations.
