PSB Bans Former Netball Officials Over Missing Rs. 65 Million Accounts

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has revealed that the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) failed to submit adjustment accounts for Rs. 65 million in government grants received during the financial years 2022–24.

The PSB said it disbursed Rs. 32 million to the federation in the financial year 2022–23 and Rs. 33 million in the financial year 2023–24, but did not receive complete adjustment accounts.

These included original receipts, vouchers, invoices, audited statements, and bank records, despite repeated reminders.

According to the PSB, the failure to submit the required financial records has resulted in a ban on former President Mudasar Razak Arain, former Secretary General Syed Gohar Raza, former Associate Secretaries Qurat-ul-Ain, Tanveer Ahmed, and Muhammad Riaz, and former Treasurer Sohail Ahmad..

The PSB stated that six former office-bearers have been barred from participating in national and international sports activities.

The Director General of the PSB approved the decision, which has been circulated to all national and provincial sports bodies, government departments with sports directorates, and national sports federations.

In its official statement, the PSB warned that if the complete financial record detailing the use of government grants is not submitted within seven days, stricter action will be taken. This may include the closure or seizure of bank accounts belonging to the federation and its officials.

The PSB clarified that the imposed ban can be lifted once the adjustment accounts are submitted. The Pakistan Netball Federation will also have the right to appeal.
