The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated the process to examine the approval of the extended layout plan of the Zaraj Housing Scheme, located at Mouza Humak and Bangreel along G.T. Road in Zone-5, Islamabad. The scheme is sponsored by M/s Zaraj Group (Pvt) Ltd., and the extension covers an area measuring approximately 18.75 kanals.
According to official documents, the Directorate of Housing Societies, Planning Wing CDA, informed the sponsors that the request for approval of the extended layout plan is currently under examination. The application was submitted on December 10, 2025, seeking formal approval for the proposed extension of the housing scheme.
To proceed with the approval process, CDA has directed the sponsors to advertise land ownership details in accordance with S.R.O 886(I)/2023 dated July 7, 2023. The advertisement is required to be published in four leading national newspapers, including English and Urdu dailies, along with duly certified Aks-Shajra, to invite public objections and claims regarding land ownership.
In a public notice, CDA stated that the proposed extension involves land measuring around 18 to 20 kanals, falling under specific Khewat and Khasra numbers in Mouza Humak, Tehsil and District Islamabad. Members of the public, companies, or organizations with objections or claims over the ownership of the land have been asked to submit their objections to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), ICT, within 15 days of the publication of the notice.
Separately, CDA also issued a notice for allottees and transferees of the Zaraj Housing Scheme, stating that a revised layout plan of the scheme had earlier been approved on April 20, 2023. The sponsors have now proposed an amendment due to the extension of the scheme area from 1,564 kanals to 1,582.2 kanals.
Affected allottees and transferees have been advised to submit their objections or claims regarding the amended, extended, or as-built layout plan within 15 days of the issuance of the public notice. CDA stated that in case no objections are received within the stipulated time, it will be assumed that there is no objection to the proposed amendment, and the approval process will move forward accordingly.
