Punjab to Establish Smart Safe Cities in 98 Tehsils

Authorities will establish Smart Safe Cities in 98 tehsils across Punjab after signing a formal agreement at the Central Police Office on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Safe Cities Authority said Brig Azmat Shabbir, Managing Director of the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation, and M Ahsan Yunus, Managing Director of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation will develop and operationalize Smart Safe Cities projects in all 98 tehsils of the province. Authorities have set December 31, 2026, as the deadline for completing the rollout.
