Samsung Freestyle+ Projector Doubles Brightness With New AI Features

Samsung has announced an upgraded version of its Freestyle portable projector for 2026. The new model, called the Freestyle+, was revealed ahead of CES and delivers double the brightness of its predecessor, reaching 430 ISO lumens, along with new AI-powered screen optimization features.

As with earlier Freestyle models, the Freestyle+ supports 180-degree rotation and 360-degree audio. The projector also adds support for Q-Symphony, allowing it to work with compatible Samsung soundbars. Samsung has not yet shared detailed specifications or pricing, but confirmed the device will be showcased at CES 2026.

AI-Powered Screen Optimization

While previous Freestyle projectors offered automatic features such as auto focus and auto leveling, the Freestyle+ expands these capabilities using AI. Samsung’s new AI OptiScreen technology introduces 3D auto keystone correction to fix image distortion on uneven or non-flat surfaces.

The system also enables real-time focus adjustment when the projector is moved, automatic screen fitting for compatible accessories, and wall calibration designed to reduce visual distractions caused by projection surfaces. The Freestyle+ will also support Samsung’s Vision AI Companion.

Availability and CES Showcase

Samsung has not announced a specific release date for the Freestyle+ but said it is targeting a launch in the first half of the year, with availability rolling out in phases across global markets.

CES 2026 takes place in Las Vegas from January 6 to January 9, where Samsung is expected to share more details about the Freestyle+ during the event.
